How To Get Rid Of Dandruff

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil helps to reduce the severity of symptoms by 41% and improved greasiness and itchiness of the scalp. Pour a few drops of tea tree oil in your scalp and leave it for 5 minutes. Later wash with a mild shampoo. Tea tree oil can cause some skin irritation to who has sensitive skin. So, it is better to use tea tree oil with coconut oil.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera is very good for the scalp and hair both. It cools the scalp and softens the hair. It is an antibacterial natural product. It will help you to fight with itchiness and relief you from scalp burn. Massage aloe vera gel into your scalp. Leave it for overnight. Next morning simply wash it with shampoo.

Coconut oil and Lemon 

Lemon is another antibacterial product what contains Vitamin C which is beneficial for hair. Coconut oil soothes and nourishes your hair. Add the same amount of lemon juice with two tablespoon coconut oil and warm it up. Apply it into the scalp and all over the hair. Leave it for 20 minutes and rinse it off with shampoo. It will cure dandruff without any chemical reactions.

Mouthwash

Yes, you are reading right! Mouthwash is very helpful to cure dandruff. Mouthwash has anti-fungal properties that help to prevent dandruff and does not let grow yeast on the scalp. Wash your hair with your regular shampoo and then rinse your hair with an alcohol-based mouthwash.

Apple Cider Vinegar 

This is one of the best home remedies for dandruff and hair fall. It also makes hair strong and healthy. Apple cider vinegar helps to remove dead skin cells and balance the pH level of the scalp and prevents the growth of certain types of fungus. Mix equal amount of water and apple cider vinegar and wash your hair with it after shampooing.

Baking Soda

Baking soda has antifungal properties that help to relieve itching and any type of skin irritation. Wet your hair with water and rub baking soda on the scalp. Leave it for 1 minute and rinse it off. It will make your hair soft and flakes free.

Henna or Mehendi

Henna or Mehendi soft the hair and helps to cure dandruff.  Mix Henna or Mehndi with tea liquor, curd, and lemon juice. Apply the mixture all over the hair and leave it for 2 hours. Then wash off thoroughly.

Neem

Neem has anti-bacterial properties and is a fantastic home remedy for preventing dandruff. The method is easy and mess-free. Grind a bunch of neem leaves in a blender to form a thick paste. Apply this paste on your scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes. Later wash it off with water.

Garlic

Garlic has antimicrobial properties that are perfect for eliminating dandruff-causing bacteria. Crush garlic and rub it into your scalp directly. Wash your hair with shampoo to remove its smell.

Olive Oil

It is an effortless way to get rid of dandruff. Massage few drops of olive oil into your scalp and cover with a shower cap for overnight. Follow your regular shampoo routine the next morning. For a quick result, use a shampoo that contains olive oil.

Curd 

This process is a little messy but very useful. Apply some curd into your hair and scalp. Let it sit tight for about half an hour. Rinse it off with a mild shampoo.

Salt

Scrubbing salt into scalp is very useful to remove the dandruff flakes. Massage your scalp with salt before washing hair. It is a convenient way to remove dandruff.

Control Stress-level

Unnecessary stress does not create dandruff but it raises the other causes of dandruff as in dryness and itching. So much stress reduces your immune level. For that, your body will not be able to fight any fungal infections and skin problems. To control the stress level you can try some treatments like Yoga, Aromatherapy or deep breathing.
