embraced it right away. I’ve always loved short hair but after years of wearing my hair colored I recently decided to wear my natural hair color. I now have a very short cut with faded sides and back. My grey is everywhere and I have a huge patch of hair at the very top that’s grey mixed with white. I love it. This is my forever hair style
For all the beautiful sistas out there, don’t fear your grey. Wear it proudly and boldy. Wear it short and sassy and be confident in your choice and your style. This 60 sista is rocking the look.

  7. One week ago I decided to cut all of my hair off for the third time. The 1st time I was new to going natural and I was able to experiment with color. I allowed my hair to grow out and wore a two tone blonde on top and rose Auburn color on the bottom for five years. This was my initial way of camouflaging my gray when it started growing in here and there. As I lost my curl pattern from straightening it so much and several years had passed when I turned 50 I decide to cut it all off again. I became so indecisive because I still was not pleased and found myself coloring my hair more often because the gray was growing so rapidly and I refused to embrace the gray. My stance was that men looked very distinguished with gray and women who had gray hair looked old. Five months Iater I decided to put a relaxer back in my hair and that was the craziest decision I made. It wasn’t conducive for my lifestyle. I am very active and I work out and I work out side. Needless to say, I started menopause therefore; I could never hold a hairdo because I was always sweating profusely especially at night. I became very frustrated and as the menopause progressed I had to do something different with my hair. I found myself wearing head wraps more often than not. So a week ago I decided to cut all of my hair off again for the third time. As my stylist was cutting my hair I saw all of the blonde fall to the floor and at the root of my hair, 60% of my hair was gray. I was astonished because I loved the way it looked. It was so radiant the gray looked so rich. Before my Stylist cut it, I told her that I was going to color it but after seeing the finished product I decided it’s time for me to embrace this beautiful gray hair. It looked radiant and rich and all I thought was wisdom. I decided it was time to embrace it and seeing this post this morning is confirmation that I am on the right hair journey.

I decided to try locs in January, I’m not loving it at all, so have an appointment with a stylist o my birthday. Do I chop or color? Conflicted or is it confused, I dont know what to do.
